I thought Chucky’s MNF debut in the box was outstanding.

I hate knocking Tony Kornheiser, because I like him on PTI, but he suffered mightly on MNF. It seemed like Kornheiser got no respect from Mike Tirico and Ron Jaworski. Kornheiser always sounded a little light in the loafers too.

Chucky on the hand sounded like he was one of your buddies you hang out with on Sundays to watch the games. His knowledge, stories, connections and understanding of the game was evident throughout the entire telecast. Gruden had both his boys, Mike and Ron, laughing with his humor and off color innuendos.

I like Chucky and I thought he was a good coach and did a lot of good things for the Bucs organization and the city of Tampa, but it was also time for him to go. I wish him the best in his new job and I look forward to watching MNF and the new crew.
