Bucs’ Safety Jackson Suspended 4 Games

The Bucs young and inexperienced defense just took another blow, no pun intended. Tanard Jackson will be suspended, without pay, for the first 4 games of the season. Jackson has started every game the last 2 seasons.

General manager Mark Dominik declined to discuss specifics about the suspension, but Jackson violated the NFL’s substances of abuse policy.

I can only speculate, but maybe Afroman said it best, “because I got high”. Something like, “I was gonna play some D, but I got high. I was gonna intercept that ball, but I got high. Now I lost pay and I can’t play, hey, because I got high, because I got high, because I got high.” Or maybe it was Grandmaster Melle Me’s White Lines or possibly it was more like Eric Clapton’s Cocaine. Maybe he was into Smoothie King and just liked the juice bar.

It just makes me sick, because these athletes have the world at their feet and many of them piss it away. The recession is horrible and families are struggling and this fool and afford to lose part of his $371k salary makes me sick.

A tough season just got a bit tougher.
