After watching Jay Cutler implode with 5 INT’s last night against the 49ers, it made me wonder how well old Gaines Adams is doing with his new team. I didn’t watch every down, but I didn’t hear Adams name called at all. It turns out Adams is producing the same amount as he with the Bucs, which is to say “nothing”.
So far with the Bears, Gaines Adams has assisted on 2 tackles in 4 games. His production has decreased significantly even by his standards. At least the 4 games he played as a Buc he had 10 tackles of which 8 were solos and 1 sack. I know there’s a learning curve to systems, but c’mon you’re trying to tell me on pass situation the 4th overall pick in a draft can’t rush the QB and make an impact?
The Bucs received a 2nd round pick from the Da Bears for Adams and that pick and trade is looking better and better every week. The trade was one of the best things the Bucs have done all season and hopefully the Bucs can turn the 2010 mid second round pick into a good player.
